Against the background of the economic globalization, the teaching and research of ETHICS at Nankai University, revolving around the important subjects like Social Ethics, Economic Ethics, History of Western Ethical Thoughts, History of Chinese Ethical Thoughts, Comparative Economic Ethics, and Applied Ethics, have made considerable academic contributions and educated numbers of students. The members of the discipline are relatively young. Some of them have studied in Japan and the United States, some of them directed the research programs like “Ethico-Economic Development of East-Asia Societies”, “Studies on Levinas’s Conception of Justice”, and “Philosophical Reflections on Terrorism”. The discipline establish the following courses: Social Ethics, Economic Ethics, Religious Ethics, History of Western Ethics, History of Chinese Ethics, Environmental Ethics, Management Ethics.
