BIO
I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Nankai University in Tianjin (China). My research interests focus on the philosophy of social science, particularly non-atomistic methodological individualism, phenomenological hermeneutics, fallibilism, ordinary rationality, complex systems, reductionism and collective intentionality. I earned my PhD in Philosophy from the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (École des hautes études en sciences sociales) and the Center for Research in Applied Epistemology (CREA) of the École Polytechnique (France) in 2012. Before joining Nankai University, I held postdoctoral positions at Duke University (USA) and Sorbonne University (FMSH Fernand Braudel fellowship) and teaching positions at ESCP Europe Business School Paris (France), Luiss University (Italy) and Southeast University (China). I serve as editorial board member for the SAGE journal Philosophy of the Social Sciences since 2018. Moreover, I am a member of the steering committee of the Asian Network for the Philosophy of the Social Sciences (ANPOSS). In 2017 I was awarded the Tianjin Young Scholars Program Prize.
